Very tired and very worn out! I had two funerals today that I had to be in charge of. One was an inactive lady who was visiting her family who hadn't been to church since they were children. We helped them with everything and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. We held the service in the Relief Society Room and it was really good. We also took over food for everyone afterwards. I think we did good, pure service, no expectations - just Christ like love.
The second was a wonderful member of our ward, Pat Patterson. He was 86 and his wife died 6 years ago, so it was a blessing to think about their reunion. His wife had Alzheimer disease for the last 8 years of her life. He lovingly took care of her with nothing in return but a blank stare from her. It didn't stop him from his constant care. When the son went to the house after his death, on the mother's side of the bed was a card from Pat for every anniversary, birthday, mother's day and valentine day since she died. He wrote a personal love note in each of them and kept them by her side of the bed. Yes, love is eternal. What a beautiful love story this is - together at last.
As tired as I am, my spirit is floating!

A good kind of pooped! I know the sisters in your ward appreciate all that you do for them. I'm looking forward to the publishing of your book!
That's so wonderful! What a great man he must have been. I am glad they are finally together.
Like I said, I really think death is an amazing think. Finally going home.
