Relief Society

We had a great lesson on Sunday. It was about our divine nature as daughters of God. It emphasized how easy it is to not realize all of our individual potential. I especially loved this quote from the lesson. It is by Marianne Williamson.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Great quote. It is something I struggle with daily. I guess the good thing is I do keep trying right?

Ginger - This is such a great quote! You actually provide an excellent example to the rest of our family on how to "play big"! You've always done the important things WHOLE-HEARTED! We love you for this example and try our best to do the same!

I love this quote. I've seen it before, and actually posted it where I saw it every day for a long while.
It reminds us to be forgiving and non judgemental not only about others, but also about ourselves. And it can also be quite motivational when you're feeling down about things. Not that YOU ever are down!
